Road-Rail vehicle FRILINER SIV-M is designed for driving and working on the road, as well as for driving and working on the national, regional and siding tracks. The vehicle is equipped with two two-wheel railway attachments positioned between the front and rear axles. The drive of the road-rail vehicle on the track is provided by two tires of the rear car axle by friction against the head of the rail. The front truck axle is held above the rails by a locking device while driving on rails. The vehicle is equipped with CCTV cam system for safe reversing and colour LCD display in driver’s cab, railway lights and as well as lights for work at night. All operations on rails are controlled electrically from the driver’s cab, rail gear functions are automated and monitored, and displayed on board computer. The Road-Rail vehicle FRILINER SIV-M consists of modified truck, the front rail gear, the rear rail gear, steering lock, lockable cabinet for measuring parameters of rails, hydraulic system and electric system.
