In the premises of the former Sázava railway station near Žďár nad Sázavou, Railway Engineers Military Garisson was established by the Ministry of Transport.
In the 1980s and early 1990s
The engineering plant was reconstructed and built, the main field of which was the production and repair of special railway machinery, and in some areas it is becoming a monopoly supplier and service center for this machinery.
1993
The Railway Engineers was dissolved and the new organisation “Stavební obnova železnic ČR” (“Building renewal of railways of the Czech Republic” – SOŽ) was established, the founder of which was the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic.
1994
Based on a government decision, the property under the administration of SOŽ ČR was allocated to privatisation.
1999
The company SaZ s.r.o. became the acquirer of the plant in Sázava and continuator in the long time tradition of the plant.
2024
The company was commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the tradition of development, production and repair of railway machinery at the plant in Sázava.
